None of the shops fender says have the late 50s bass in the lonk seem to have them on their individual store page....

Yeah that is a nice bass but they appear to be unavailable... If you know where to get one still, let me know.

Thanks for the reply:) i am looking for an extra bass for a tribute show i May but needs to be P in white polar olympic or sand with a maple fret board and tort. It looks like the anniversary is a little than the player, and the late 50s cv is impossible to find. Graham

Anyone have experience with both of these basses? I am debating between a fender mim - player polar with maple versus squier 40th anniversary sand and maple? I had hoped to check out also a " late 50s squier CV pbass" but cant track down one of those olympic white with maple

In the end, I have moved from the kent armstrong twin- to a pickup wizard 50s! Very pleased

I felt inspired, did most of this myself, has had both kent armstrong twins and custom shop 62 both are nice. Initially had an indonesian squier neck, upgraded to fender.

I just did Kent Armstrongs in it. Good little project. I am pleased with outcome.
