    Quick Help Identifying Bass

Howdy! I picked up this bass right when TB went up in flames, but I was curious if anyone would be able to help identify what year my Ibanez clone is from? I only had images online for reference, so my guess is that it's an Ibanez 2388 from 1975 (based on the pickup style) and the plating...

Where were you when it happened?

Went to a local CD store to buy my friend some NSync and Shakira albums (Interpol and Joy Division for myself), and finally got my Ibanez 2388 in hand! Gotta say it's been a pretty eventful week.

    Questions for Rickenbacker Copies

I've been looking into the vintage Japanese copies for Rickenbackers (4001/4003) for the past few months now, and I'm curious if others with any information can provide some more info on the quality of them. One bass?

Currently only have my 5 string, which has come in super handy whenever I didn't want to uptune for certain songs. Although I absolutely love my 5 string, I do want just one regular bass so I have an option between the two.

    I sense a trend

I'm still fairly new to playing bass, so my perspective is from that of a 4 month player :wacky: But personally I like to practice clean so I can hear my intonation better, and jam with some fuzz and distortion for a hard rock vibe.

    Howdy from A Newcomer

Been playing bass for a couple months and loving every moment of it! Recently found this place when I started to try and find a vintage Lawsuit Era bass, so here I am!
