    Ah yes, the true vintage users would use candles, not light bulbs - handmade of course, individually wax-potted wicks, so, one bassist to pour the hot wax, whilst a second bassist holds the wick steady. The same team would then trim the wicks for perfectly uniform light/sound production.

    Quite right - true vintage lovers would use candles - hand made - individually wax-potted, one bassist pours the wax whilst a second holds the wick steady. Same team of two then trim all the wicks for perfect tuning.
