Another VT comparison query; for me the VT tends to become more and more unnaturally "metallic" sounding as the drive knob increases. I'm curious if the Ampeg has a warmer more natural sounding overdrive?

Proper piezo implementation is all about the the quality of the Buffer/Preamp. Piezo setups with non-existent or poor buffers is the reason they're not thought more highly of.

'62 originals and Flatwounds pair up beautifully, but if your going with Roundwounds I'd suggest the Geezer's or a pure vintage '63.

The dual setting for the humbucker would be parallel. And Parellel for the Phase reversed setting. I heard a Tele with a phase switch and it had a lot of that Bohemium Rhapsody vibe to it which is what prompted this project. I've sourced 4p3t mini toggles if that helps.
