All-New Ampeg SCR-DI!

Another VT comparison query; for me the VT tends to become more and more unnaturally "metallic" sounding as the drive knob increases. I'm curious if the Ampeg has a warmer more natural sounding overdrive?

That is in the ear of the beholder. Put it this way...I can't say it's the best overdrive I have ever heard in my life, but it's pretty good and pretty warm if you want...just turn treble down. To get the most out of the Scrambler, you need to use the tone controls with it, and it'll do quite well IMHO. Then again, I say the same thing about the VT so what do I know? ;)

Just found this. Not the greatest but it's something. Still waiting on Dino's video.

Wow...I really do hate the sound of a pick on a bass. All the videos so far don't seem to cover how it sounds with every technique.

I already preordered one from Musicians Friend awhile ago. I am no using it live because I have an SVT-CL but I want to replace my SansAmp with it that goes into my computer for practice and demo recordings.

Jimmy, do you have any insider knowledge of when the SCR-DI will start shipping? I originally ordered with March 1st was the ship date lol.
