Mesa Subway 115 Crackling/Buzzing

Well.....

I tried to make my point, but many have assumed things about the situation, what I like, and have played.
They have no idea of my journey.

Some seemed stunned I wouldn't like their favorite cab/gear, questioned my reasons, or assumed I don't know how to test gear properly. Some missed a lot of the info I posted by glossing over what I wrote in my posts before replying.

First off, much like you no one knows what I like in tone or sound, nor do they know my style of playing or spplication. Many assume that an my style and likes are much the same as theirs. That’s hardly the case. It would also be quite boring if we all sounded and played the same. I get where you’re coming from.

Also, there seems like such a drastic difference in what you experienced with the SW115, and what we is considered the norm, that it’s been hard to understand, self included. I just believe there is no way that SW115 is operating correctly.

That being said if I’ve said anything at all that offended you I’m truly sorry. I try to avoid that at all costs.

Please update the direction you take. I’d love to hear about it.

Initially, all I was trying to do was offer a data point on the buzzing/cable issue.
That was solved. Andy has the info.

I wasn't going to answer the initial question of why I didn't like the cab, knowing full well it would devolve into this.
Heck, I wasn't even going to reply to this part of the thread, but though I might was well. In for a penny - in for a pound.

Really, if you're butt hurt I didn't like your favorite gear - sorry.

My only intent was to help if there was a problem with the cab that wouldn't provide the low-end as needed. For me it does but for someone else it may not. As Andy the designer and engineer of the cabinet had said, he had never heard that as a complaint before, as most of use.

That is not to say you have a different need than the cabinet offers despite what we say. Again I am happy you have a cabinet that achieves your ends. And again there is a lot of gear out here, both new and used that should be able to tickle everyone's fancy, provided you like your fancy tickled

No one, including me was out to hurt your feelings or to doubt your abilities. Just checking to see if there was a problem with that cab. You say there isn't and it's not your thing. I am cool with that, as no doubt everyone else is as well!

There’s nothing to examine really. I have the data already. The “fix” is trivial but understandably irritating.

I wish I had the disposable income to also get some Genzler gear for the variation of tone to add to my Subway stuff

I settled for the Genzler pedals for much the same reason, had to draw the line somewhere.
