Same here. If it's really urgent, I use a carrier pigeon. Seriously - we're all wired. And we use Box.com to share rehearsal recordings, lyric sheets, tab, etc.

I bought the Squier SS Jaguar about 6 months ago based on great things I read about it here. It was my first short scale in 30+ years of playing bass. I'm very happy with it, stock, although I agree with ajpaul that the j pickup is just about useless. Check out the threads on it here on TB.

I think the Snarks are faster and more accurate than the Planet Waves mini, but they don't travel as well. They need room around them; if pressure is put on the 'arm', the socket holding the arm breaks pretty easily.

I wasn't fortunate enough to score tickets, so I watched it on pay-per-view on my 100" (projected) screen. Great show; all of them were 'on'; Ron Wood especially shone, as you mention. BTW, that 'futuristic' guitar he played is a Reverend. He also played a lap steel on Keith Richards' "Happy".

I haven't seen or played the bass, but I played a Midtown 6-string guitar. It felt kind of strange, being a flattop semi-hollow, rather than an archtop.

I have homeowner's insurance for my residence, but (stupidly) never even thought about insurance for the recording/rehearsal studio I share with a half dozen other guys. The place itself was probably illegal as far as building codes go, and we had no signed lease with the landlord. Last Monday...

A band I work with rents a room in the Rockaways, NYC, for rehearsals and recording. It's a block off the beach, and it's in a building that the landlord set up into about 7 or 8 separate studios for rent on a month-to-month basis. We had one downstairs, but moved to an upstairs room about 5...
