I'm itching to build a cab out of 1X12 wood as opposed to plywood [looking for less weight] Has anyone ever tried to build one? and if so, does it sound good? Crappy? What! What!

Will someone confirm whether DR seem to be less BUZZY because of the coating. If it is true I'm sold for DR
