Have you tried the specific GX-1B effect in the FX1,2,3 blocks called "Tune Down" ?

Mine has just landed, only got as far as inserting batteries and switching on, and a bit of menu diving.

Don't use the Pitch shifter effect to down tune, as it is more suited for pitch blending with the original pitch. Instead use the "Pedal Bend" effect (Pedal Fx) it works much better. This is a known "Boss" thing.
