    Boss GX-1B

Yes, you can run up to three at a time, and place them anywhere in the signal chain. There are 3 multi-effects blocks with which you can choose compressors.

I have just now updated the app, was a bit stale for Windows 10 & 11 to properly save it's preferences settings. Appologies for that, here is the latest Windows version, let me know if you are not using Windows, and I can update the Mac OS and Linux versions too...

GT6B Midi Editor software now available here !!!

That one will not work, avoid it like the plague. Unfortunately good ones that work properly cost a bit more. Stick with reputable mainstream brands like Roland Yamaha If you Google search this "brands of usb midi adapter that work with system exclusive midi" It will explain and list...

Catastrophe at rehearsal...lesson learned: BOSS GT-6B

When I had a GT-6B many years back, I wrote a software editor for it. Search up GT-6BFxFloorBoard and try that, make sure you get a reputable brand usb-midi adapter too. The editor software shows the internal settings of the GT-6B graphically as stompbox pedals, which you can easily tweak all...

    Alternative for GX1B?

GX-1B is definitely an upgrade on the GT-1B, the amp tones are great and overdrives are more organic, less harsh than the GT-1B. The color screen is easy to navigate, I like the tuner and the way the effect buttons light up as part of the tuning visual. The effects are great, with more options...

Don't use the Pitch shifter effect to down tune, as it is more suited for pitch blending with the original pitch. Instead use the "Pedal Bend" effect (Pedal Fx) it works much better. This is a known "Boss" thing.

How much wattage do I need for band practice?

I use a Fender Rumble 800, which on its own is 2 x 10" neodynium speakers and 400 watts. Very lightweight (pick it up with one finger). I use it for practice sessions and gigs D.I to the PA system.

Post your VERY SPECIFIC pedalboard, if you got it ...

My current pedalboard. Basses have Roland GK-3B hexaphonic pickups installed. GK 13 pin signal goes into the box top right, splits into two, goes to the blue Boss SY-1000 on the left which can model 3 x independent basses models, guitar models, analog style subtractive synths, in a combination...
