for all i know, neck-through body canceling the deadspots that occours in bolt-on (there is dead spot [usually on the 7th fret in G strings] in every bolt-on neck) and when haven a NT, u got no deadspots. other than that, ill be glad to know too...

personaly, i play drop C# and the loriders 50 were too floppy for me. if u are playing drop C i suggest getting heavier strings. there are alot of threads about it here. i just order a 55-115 set from evil bay hopefully itll get here before the recording session :X im playing a stingray on Drop C# (C#G#C#F#) and even loriders 50-110 was the E string too floppy for me, hopefully this will help me out :) will report here when ill get it

is the nut only need modifying in the E string slot? the other strings doesnt need modification?

im a drop player, i play pretty low and i like my strings really tight, so i am moving from 50-110 to 55-115. plz dont tell me go 5-strings, i just want to know what does it take to setup ur guitar to a new strings gauge.

I got a musicman which droptuned to Drop Db (E string step and a half down and the others half a step down) because of the drop tune i use 50-110 DR loriders. but i had problem with it in the last month. last month i broke 2 E strings while playing in one month! both of the strings snapped...

well... we're on the path toward professionalism. does that count? :P

I was talking to a fellow bassist, and the debate raised me a question: why people buy all those vintage fender from the 60s, 70s and etc, and in so much money? i can get all that vintage that its got age, but really, the 2008-now lines of fender are pretty great, and IMHO there are so many...

I'm starting to think i am some kind of a creep or somethings.. I love P necks and MM necks (i have one, one of the most comfortable bass ever) but i absolutely cant play with those baseball bat necks, maybe its because i played a corvette. but i really hated the neck :hiding:
