Depends on the bass player, as the band has had a few. King Crimson is probably my favorite band, if I had to pick just one. My favorite with them was John Wetton. For all his talents, Tony Levin plays the role of a sideman it seems. Wetton was Fripp’s equal in shaping the band’s sound.

I have used the D’Addario and the LaBella. I thought I would like the LaBellas more, but I really like the feel and tension of the D’Addarios.

You might like the Epiphone viola bass. Much more sturdy than the Hofners.

My Acoustic B25 rattles the walls and floor. I have to keep down low, like below a “2” on the volume.

Thought you guys might like to hear this. I recorded this a couple of weeks ago. I played all the parts on it. The bass is my black Accu-Bass. It has such a deep, rich tone and it sustains forever.
