    Please check my wiring diagram

Hi there, just playing my P bass at my desk and having a wee think. I think I would like to make my life miserable and try and install an unnecessary pickup "for fun", just because I am a bit bored with this situation. So I have a regular sized P bass and I think I want to install a regular...

    Lightweight bass for longer sets

Howdy friend. I have been on a 2 year mission to get the load down on my back and shoulders now I have some physical disability. I have tried many of the above suggestions. First recommendation would be a Squier Affinity Bronco (and swap out an ebay 51 style precision single coil pickup if...

My Squier Bronco is a perfect storm of muddy tone! Help me!

Later update: I swapped in a 51-precision style pickup and combined with the Rumble life is even better.

    Fender Rumble Club

Hello my friends, question for you about slaving Rumbles together via the FX Loop Send-Return method. I appreciate this is an older topic.. So I originally had the Rumble 100 and loved it - especially being able to lift it over my head with one hand. However the band needed more power at gigs...

    Bronco Mod Day!

I bet that was Jonathan Wong 458 Music haha. Off the top of my head I believe I have an older Affinity series rather than Sonic series? I definitely needed to widen the tuner holes, however I did so with a round file instead of drilling to minimise risk of splitting.

    Bronco Mod Day!

Verrrr' nice work! (see my profile photo). I almost wish I had gone with the white model too when I was doing mine. I had to scrape off the red paint to get down to a white layer (I think it was sealant not paint). Tell us about what your situation is there with the bridge and saddles? My...

My Squier Bronco is a perfect storm of muddy tone! Help me!

Thanks for the thoughtful replies, all. The answer was simple in the end. Lots of steps in the chain could be tweaked, but ultimately it was either the pickups or the amp that had to go. I borrowed a Fender Rumble 200 from a mate for a test. It's perfect. Problem solved. Tone is exactly where I...

My Squier Bronco is a perfect storm of muddy tone! Help me!

Hello everybody, this is my first post on TB! I joined just to ask this question and solicit your opinions because I have been building a bass and I am stuck. Though of course I have lurked around for a long time to learn from the hive mind and I respect the expertise (and s-talking) that is...
