That depends on how you transport your gear. If you’re touring &/ or gear is being loaded into trailers by stagehands then rack mounting makes a lot of sense. If you’re just gigging local & dealing with gear yourself then maybe not so much.

Interesting and you find the Sadowsky Blue Label strings keep it that long ??

You must not like that new string zing? I’ve never had a set of strings sound good after a year of regular playing unless I was going for that dead sound which I’m usually not, except on 1 P bass just to have around

I agree that’s a good run on strings. I’d have changed them at least once or twice in 2 months of that heavy use. I do love the new string zing though to be fair.

I hear you but with the best knowledge of the gear tablet mixing is still way more limiting and failure / glitch prone than the hardware. Also depends on how involved a mix is. If it’s on the simpler side a tablet works better if it’s really interactive like some bands I work for while it can be...

True, & I’ve mixed whole shows that way it’s just really really not my fav way to do it and there are some big limitations sometimes. It can be a solution depending on circumstances though.

Mixing only with an iPad sucks & it can have reliability issues, when the crowd shows up. iPads are great additions to mixers but weak replacements.

Hmm you’re right I thought it had midi in and out jacks it only has out. I don’t think you can split USB like that. You could get a small midi hub connect 2 chocolate controllers to that and then that midi hub to anagram. That kinda starts to take up a lot though

Yeah the Rumble 500 is a great option for small & light weight & sounds good.

Can’t you go midi out from one to the other and then midi out to anagram ? The 2nd one should de transmit the midi messages from the first one. Double check me on this I may be confusing them with another midi controller but a lot of midi controllers can do this.
