Any 4 or 5 works. It’s more important how you play than what you use. Have enough amplification to be heard. H

Open mics… jams etc You will probably find more than you expect in your area. If you sing you will be set. Bass is good if you don’t mind playing songs you haven’t heard before. Generally electric guitar is very well represented, lots of guitars. H

Do the Hipshot or Schallier need holes drilled or do they use the same as what’s there from the originals?

Blade on my B string tuning machine is becoming loose, 1.5 yr old G&L JB5, Built to Order. Still works but I can see if falling off soon. Options: 1) Glue it? 2) Try and find a replacement G&L tuning machine? 3) Replace with a Hip Shot or other aftermarket? 4) Other? Thoughts? H

I am researching Amp heads and cabs at the moment and looked at the LH 1000 - a very powerful amp head. Definitely read the manual. I would proceed cautiously with Bridge mode, according the the manual it puts out 750W into 8 Ohms according to the specifications which is a lot more than a VX...

Light was bright for that photo, however it’s not very matte - the frost finish takes some of the brightness out of the metallic. Looks nice in normal light, not as frosty as some finishes would appear, but has good balance with the white pick guard. I like it, but then I am biased :) . H
