On Revelation Song l invoke my “Thunderbird Rule”…..if the word “thunder” pops up in the lyrics……..its gonna get loud. When I first explained this to the worship team, they thought I was kidding. Come Sunday they realized I was serious. They sorta look forward to it now.
New pastor. I have tried to give him time to find his feet but we now have 5 staff who have “resigned/retired” when in fact they were given the choice to resign or be fired. All good folks and none have been replaced. Its been 1.5 years and I still have never gotten a hello from him or his wife...
I’ve had my ‘77 since it was new. Other than a couple junky MIJ basses that preceded it, its pretty much my reference point for all basses. I have never had a chance to try a ‘64.
No go. I have tried various schemes. Trussrod is pretty much maxed already and since Dan Erlewine repaired the trussrod back in 2018(?), I am hesitant to make any adjustments. She’s 48 years old. She’s earned a good nap once a year.
The cooler temps are here and the heat goes on soon….so the Bird has been unstrung and parked until May’ish.
I have to soldier on with the Jazz until then.
She has another video where she replaces the trussrod on a neck thru T-bird. Terrifying to watch as I have been contemplating having the same procedure done.
The Wednesday gig is a Celebrate Recovery service, which I was asked to play. Ironically 9/13/2025 will mark 5 years sober for me so, yea….Graves Into Gardens. That garden can be thorny at times but it beats a grave.
