As mentioned in the past couple posts, wouldn't a super comfortable strap help aid this?

There's a guitar shop in my area that used to carry Dean's, I played a couple that they had (a few acoustics, a few solid-bodies), I didn't like any of the one's I played, felt like there was something wrong with each one. Not hate, but I'm not a fan.

Mine's an Ibanez, it's okayish for me but I have the bass picked out that I want to save up for. It's ~$800 after taxes and since I'm jobless for the time being it's going to be a while before I get it.

Yeah I'd like to eventually save up and get a full Hartke stack, it'll be around $1,000 - $1,2000 USD, but that'll be for the future if I get to the point where I play shows, so I'm just going medium-ground for now.

Question: How exactly does a bass string break? Especially an E or even a B string? I can't imagine them snapping. You get hit with one of those, in the face, that sounds like a world of hurt. 5 years and obviously never broken one yet. If I ever get to gigging I would DEFINATELY pack a spare...
