I'm in the same question as you are... But with the Stage 800 or the Rumble 500. A simple amp, easy, with good reviews... or something more funny but where i'll lose 2h playing with the presets instead of really playing with the bass! I'm a guitarist and by experience, i used a Mesa Triaxis...
