No, it's not Bluey's left hand; all the programming was done by me. Incidentally, I did write the bass lines for 'Change' and 'L'Arc En Ciel de Miles'. The solo on 'Magnetic Ocean' was Randy's creation.

Actually, on the Tribes Vibes and Scribes album, Randy played on 'Change', L'Arc en Ciel de Miles' and the solo on 'Magnetic Ocean' which indeed were played on a Jazz bass. Everything else was programmed using a sample of a Music Man.

The bass libraries I used for these two tracks were both finger style. The bass for "Colibri" is described in detail above. The bass on "The Way You Love" is the Scarbee M-Bass; a MusicMan with flat wound strings. Richard

OK, from memory, it comes from the Bob Clearmountain Percussion & Bass Library, (a 5 string Music Man bass) specifically, the D.I. samples but only 5 of the available set; F1, C2, F2, C3 & F3. They were sampled into an Akai S950, and at the time, I was using Steinberg's Cubase on an Atari Falcon...
