No, regular scale fits through body basses. And my string recommendation would be Ernie ball, cobalt, either round wound or flat, both are great. And I’ve used most of the others mentioned.

I’d go with JBE (Barden) blade pickups P and J. Similar tone to the BB1024 models.

Try to find a BB 2024MA. The body is smaller and much lighter than my BB1024.

Yes, the pick ups on the BB300 are standard split coil P bass size… It is the Covers that are a different shape. Swap out the covers and you are good to go.

I just stumbled across this thread, but yes, the reverse P configuration sounds better.

I felt the same way, the active EQ did not make it sound better, and it wasn’t that great in passive mode either. My 504 has been in a case for a few years, as I’ve been meaning to sell it. And that’s also why I never bought a 734, I’ve heard it’s the same EQ.
