Hello everybody,
I recently purchased this MX pbass neck "ROASTED MAPLE PRECISION BASS® NECK, 20 MEDIUM JUMBO FRETS, 9.5", MAPLE, C SHAPE ". I wanted to know which tuning machines I can install (maybe something modern, like the new american ultra basses). Thanks, Hello.

I see what you did there.
Even Leo stated in an interview about the P position:

Pretty sure my Dingwall has the fd3 reverse p pickups. I’ve never taken them apart but I believe all the production bass Dingwall pickups are reverse P

Had this mod done to my P (‘83 neck, unknown age of body) several years back. The reverse P makes a lot of sense, more than the original design, IMO.
I just stumbled across this thread, but yes, the reverse P configuration sounds better.
It's NOT reversed - that's the regular way for these models ...

this is my Jazzision bass (when you got indecision, between J and P).
A bass project made with a Fender aftermarket P mexican neck (baked maple) with an alder body (fiesta red nitro finish), Schaller 3d bridge and lollipop Gotoh tuners.
In its last iteration with a SD SPB-3. I'll keep experimenting with pickups.
Simple and efficient.

Also, my own double reverse. P neck made with a Clash/unknown brand with rosewood fingerboard, choosen from a large batch of inexpensive ones. Second hand Walnut P54ish body and twin Dimarzio Model P. Budget tuners and a bridge coming from a Fender modern series.
Volume with series/parallel switch, pickup selector and tone with phase switch for middle position.
Multi-voiced project on a budget.
