Looking for something portable, but not toy-like. I have an Acoustic b20 and love it. Quiet, sounds great. Not familiar with the Fender though. Anyone try both of these and have a preference?

I own the Jag SS. I have tried the Mikro, and thought the sound was pretty good, but it just seemed too small. Note: the Jag SS neck is even smaller (more cramped) than the Bronco which I own as well.
I just did that - cleaned shop. Got rid of a Epiphone Electric, a 12 string Seagull, old Squier Amp, 3/4 accoustic - now have 2 new amps, 2 new bass guitars and a Strat - couldn't be happier, and did not spend much at all.
... "find the notes of the key Eb based around the A string, 6 th fret" - yes, mambo, that was my first attempt - the song "plays" better at this position, more fun and sounds better.
I'm a guitarist who is now learning bass. Just jump in and play bass - learn the fretboard REALLY well, and guess what - you have a headstart when you later get that guitar, b/c you know 4 of the 6 strings. BTW, Bass is helping me be a tighter guitarist - I love the bass guitar, even though I suck.
