When did Fender use the Brass (gold) thumb rests? I was thinking I had on on my 78 Anitgua Precision but not sure.

The bass I had with the gold thumb rest was a 1979-80 Precision with an antigua finish.

So while we are on the thumb rest topic, does anyone know what year and bass did Fender use a brass (gold) metal thumb rest. I had a 78 p bass, Antigua with one and I have seen one or two over the years but curious about the originality.

The worry is not damage from vibration but damage by falling off the cab.

It doesn’t get much better than Bergantino cabs and Mesa D800 it’s not the cabs.

The Mesa D800 is a 5.5 pound class D amp. That’s why it moves around.
