Squier Bass VI. At last an affordable, somewhat correct VI!

Nice review. Just getting me more excited damn it. I placed my order for a white one from GC this afternoon. Supposed to ship tomorrow, we'll see. The local Sam Ash in Northridge, CA has a pair in their store, white and burst.

    1963 Precision Bass

I thought that too, but the strings are so low that the pup height is perfect sunk in like that.

    1963 Precision Bass

The first picture was taken when I first opened the case. The second was after I pulled the pickguard to check the pickups and electronics. I just hadn't put it back on yet.

    1963 Precision Bass

So I had a customer bring this in to work the other day. I never figured I'd even see something like this in person, much less actually play one, much less play it. But here you are, in all it's roadworn glory, a 1963 Fender Precision Bass. Terrible pictures are my bad, I'll see if I can't...

    Guitar Center Vintage

It's absolutely korina. As were all Flying Vs of that year. Doesn't make it any more valuable or desirable on a base model in solid black.

In any case he wasn't getting $1000 for that guitar. It was more a case of him not having any idea what the value of his instrument was. Call or email the vintage department in Hollywood.

Source- I work at a GC in SoCal With vintage gear, GC guys are instructed to contact the vintage department team. Most of the people in vintage are relatively knowledgeable. Of course, they are people too, and I've seem some bad calls. If I'm frank, the most common "bad call" is giving...

    First Real Bass

Hey everyone,GK 400RB and Acoustic B410 Yesterday I picked up a GK 400RB and Acoustic B410 to begin my first bass rig since converting from guitar. Today I decided to have a look at some bass guitars to replace the Affinity P-Bass I was borrowing. I went back and forth between this and...

    NFBRD

Alright, so, I gather that Ampeg's have a characteristic mid scoop? I've yet to dial EQ with a band, I'm sure it's a kill I'll pick up just like dialing a guitar amp. I really dig the tone of a compressed bass. Though that's only by itself, perhaps too much punch for a non-solo situation...

New First Bass Rig Day. Everyone knows that. So I picked up my first bass amp today. I'm a guitar player that's converting, so I needed a usable setup that would be loud enough to play with my hard rock band, but not break the bank. I think I did okay. Gallien-Krueger 400RB Mk.IV head...

    GK 400RB Mk.IV

I got mine used at $150. Seems fair.

What should I expect to pay for a Mk.IV in good nick?

    GK 400RB Mk.IV

Hey bass people, I'm a recent guitar convert. In the process of selling of superfluous guitar gear in order to fund bass purchases. I'm pretty knowledgeable about guitar gear, but I'll admit to being a bass equipment newbie. I came across a Gallien-Krueger 400RB Mk.IV head, and made a...
