Hi ColinB, thanks for that. I've actually already seen it and while it is helpful to an extend there's no substitute for hands on experience. I was therefore wondering if anyone here had been through the same process and tried them both out.

I've been looking more at the TCE BG250s after the recommendations here and have to say that they look interesting. Has anyone any experience of the difference in tone between the 12 & 15 inch models?

Thanks for all the comments guys. I'd already spotted the Carvin MB combos which look ideal but seem impossible to find here in the UK. It looks like it's getting narrowed down to the GK or Rumble options.

Hi Linnin, I've looked at the Rumbles and they look good. However I wonder if the 100 would be powerful enough for my needs. The 200 costs about the same as the MB115-II here and a lot more than the MB112-II, which makes the GKs seem a better bet.
