I'm kind of set on a regular Fender Jaguar bass, but my friend tried out the Squier one and said its very nice also. The Squier one is a out 200 bucks I believe and the Fender is 600 about. So my question is, is the extra 400 worth it for the Fender brand?

Well my friend who works there says the instructor is amazingly good. It seems it cost anywhere from 20-40 bucks per half hour, so I guess what he's asking is a regular rate.

Was it worth the $25 to you?

How much would some lessons cost? My local music shop says thay lessons are 30 bucks for half an hour and 50 for an hour. Good deal, or what? If not, how much would it usually cost? Thanks.

I can play what others have written fairly easily. I just cant write anything or improvise. Any sites or book or anything that you can recommend to help?

I probably will eventually, or sell it to my friend who's better at that stuff. It's a Yamaha RBX-170. And as for spray painting it, I'd rather a professional do it, so I don't mess up and have it look bad. The autobody shop sounds like a good idea. I'll check that out. Do you happen to know how...

Sorry, I meant output. I've been meaning to but a new bass for a while now, since I've been playing a crappy Yamaha since I started, so this just gave me a reason to actually seriously consider buying a new one.

I'm going to (hopefully) be buying a new bass soon, seeing as my input is completely screwed and won't play. I'm still debating on a Jaguar, a classic Fender jazz bas, a Aerodyne jazz bass, or a Ibanez AGB200, but that's besides the point. If I buy the Jaguar or classic jazz bass, I may want to...
