I have a Marshall MB450 which I like a lot, and it was relatively cheap. If I played stoner, doom and stuff like that, I would LOVE it.

I need to replace the input jack on my MB450 head, does anyone know which one of these I need? I just don't have time to open the amp and check.

Bollocksed input jack. Never would've guessed, but the amp roars now, that's all that matters.

It was indeed a tech who did the work, I stood by and smoked cigarettes like an arsehole. I miss that amp, it was absolutely brutal.

Had the same problem with an HD150 years ago, a couple of blown transistors in the preamp. The repair was simple and cheap, if memory serves.

Oh, I'm not worried, I'm perfectly happy with my tone, I'd just like to know if my approach goes against widely accepted practices.

I've got the MXR M80 and I'm quite happy with it, I don't see it leaving my board any time soon. For rehearsals, I keep the bass at 2, maybe 3 o' clock, mids at 1 o'clock and I cut the treble slightly. I keep the amp eq dead flat as I see no point in eqing my signal twice, and this approach...

Of course, but to be honest I'm hoping it's something trivial I could take care of myself. The nearest tech is a couple of hours away and my schedule has been insane recently, I'd like to spare myself the drive if possible.

Hi all, My Marshall 450h distorts rather heavily on both channels, it's impossible to get a clean tone out of it. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Thanks for any and all advice.
