Me in 1973... Marshall Super Lead and a Sunn 6x12 searching for that "Squire" sound, KABOOM!

I lost count but the combination between Ampeg SVT PRO II w/8x10 and Marshall Super Bass w/4x12 works very well for me. Bass effects go through the Marshall and the Ampeg does the rest.

Another option if you are handy with wood. The beauty about the 4004 Cheyenne is that it is a tongue oiled bass. So you can fill in the holes with wood filler or a tooth pick or a small piece of maple wood and glue. Once dried sand with the appropriate sand paper and then tongue oil the bass...

Chris dumped his 3 neck WAL for a Japanese copy of the same bass. His original Wal bass is sitting on a wall (no pun intended) at the Hardrock Cafe in New York.

The Fender P is not a Fender P it is a Lakland Bob Glaub body (Inca Silver) with a Lakland jazz style neck (nut 1.5"). Chris also uses a 70's Fender Jazz bass.
