iirc those were commercially available with that modular electronics package as standard; i.e., whatever was "custom" about Squire's, it wasn't the electronics.
Just saw Yes last night w/Asia. GREAT show!
Squire used his mainstay Rick for the vast majority of the show
the Electra for a few songs
a black Rick on Machine Messiah
the Lakeland Bob Glaub on Time & A Word
If you haven't seen it yet Benoit & Oliver fill in so well. If you close your eyes you couldn't tell that Anderson or senior Wakemen were missing.
Also it was a great pleasure watching Asia. John Wetton still has chops.
I've heard that he has used a Jazz Bass.
Apparently, he used one while working on Going for the One. No telling if the Jazz made it onto the recording, but cool nonetheless.
What is that 8-string he's playing there?
of course i know chris pretty much always uses a rick. i have heard that he has used a few other basses before, but upon searching for his equipment listings,i couldn't find a thing.
i've seen him using a fender P,and also i heard that he used to use thunderbirds sometimes.does anyone know of any other basses he has used?
Was that a Wal three-neck bass he used on "Awaken"?
He was sponsored by Carvin for a while.
I can never get over the size of that guy's hands. I mean look at those friggen fingers, they're like bratwursts or something. And yet to be able to move them that fast.
Yep, Drama... Incredible bass sounds throughout. Except Run Through the Light, which always gets skipped as soon as Mr Horn starts singing...
I have nothing against Mr Horn, but the vocals to that song..
