Here he is playing the fender ... looks like a modifed 51 p-bass



He gets a real rick tone here also.

Actually a late 60's Telebass,modified with a Jazz bass pick-up in bridge position.

Thread revival!
I was digging around to see what he used on Big Generator and came across this.
They start getting into different basses at the 11:00 mark.

Apparently, he used one while working on Going for the One. No telling if the Jazz made it onto the recording, but cool nonetheless.

The Jazz did make it on to the ALBUM, he used it on the song Parallels! His 8 String Rickenbacker is what he used on the title track! A buddy of mine in Florida, Chris Capozza aka Growlyman, makes replicas of it and other Chris Squire basses!

I met C.S. in 1978 at Fred's music store in Reading Pa. I was there ordering my ELECTRA MPC OUTLAW .
I was a 16 yr old kid ordering my first " real bass guitar" I saw an ad in ? a guitar magazine about the MPC OUTLAW. I ordered it a week later.
and C.S. was standing at the counter right next to me as I was placing my order.
I was freaking the f**k out for real.
He said he was impressed I was ordering such a good bass he just heard about himself. He shook my hand , gave me a pat on the back said he liked my choice in a bass guitar. :?)
2 yrs later Drama was released
I don't remember when I saw the actual video of tempus fugit . and there was C.S. playing his
White MPC OUTLAW.
