    no, they are just catering to what they think is popular. this sounds like they are TRYING to be slayer. the lyrics and vocal style are SO DIFFERENT from anyhting they have done in a LOOOONG time. but its in NO WAY a comeback to any of their good albums. this is terrible.

    no, no i compeltely disagree. i am a very big metallica fan, i love their old stuff. i think this song is terrible. they are trying to sound like slayer, with gore-descriptive lyrics. it just comes off as chessy to me. hetfield is a chameleon as far as singing goes- one song its a soft ballad...
