I get MY TONE. I’m 6’3”, 36” sleeve length. I play low. My guitarist is 6’4”, and the bass is too low for him. I play a very heavy attack and get my perfect tone. When I raise it up, I sound like a pop bassist. Do what YOU want.

Good point. Small/med clubs, PA yes when available, van with trailer. Someone had a good point about PA earlier: you never know. Bring it for when you need it.

What I do for local, decent FOH and acoustics, is pedalboard into OB1 and then DI out from back of amp. Sound guy prob hates me. I don’t leave my amp alone

I’m loving that my current rig is good enough. I have the perfect tone right now. Forgot to mention, we have IEMs and will be using at any show that has enough space for the rack.

About to go out on first tour. Rig now is an Orange OB1-500 and a 4x10. Works fine at any bar/club I play. 8x10 bass cabs and tube amps: do I really need? FOH science has ruined my perception walls of amps. BTW, Of course I need. Of course I want tube amps.

I’ve been using one for 2+ years, no such issue. Got my rhythm guitarist one too. Set it and forget it. Only issue I had was the cable that came with the transmitter pack. First show, out. Upgraded to the right angle shure.

So I had my amp repaired recently. All sound went out. Apparently liquid spilled on the top and damaged the transistors and blew a fuse. My local shop scraped off all the dried liquid and replaced what needed to be replaced. Now however, the fan runs constantly. It would only kick on when...
