Natural disasters

New to talk bass. Just found my out building got cruched last night from a tree falling on it. Don't know what might be saved. Hurricane Florence. My 1992 Fender Jazz Bass Plus, Carvin BX1500, Carvin BX210, BX115 old Peavy SP1's, Peavey 700 board, Peavey pair of Peavey 112 monitors, other stuff are in the building. Can't get in because tree is too big. Anybody else ever get whacked like this?

We loaned our brand new Nissan Pathfinder to our young son last year while he was doing training in San Diego, he’s a sonar tech. Duiring a heavy rain and windstorm, an 80 ft palm tree fell on the car and totally destroyed it. He had just returned to his room with some uniforms when he heard the noise. He felt so bad, but it wasn’t his fault. We were just gla, as @charlie monroe observed-it was just stuff. Hope your stuff makes out better than our car did.

I got my bass out of the crushed building. It was under the tree that fell on it and was nice and dry. I've got my amp head and wireless receiver out. They were in a SKB road case that was supporting the remains of the roof. The case was bent, but the amp works. I still have a 210 bass cab and my gig bag along with a behringer power amp and a monitor to get out. I'm hoping that all the remaining stuff is ok also.

Northern Arizona.JPG First; welcome to Talk Bass. Next: sorry to hear about the Tree/Shed Adventure. Glad that what you've managed to retrieve from the wreckage is OK; hope the rest is, too. Finally; to answer your question - nope, never had anything like that happen. Not a lot of those "tree" things out here. And I don't think we've had many hurricanes, either...

Where are you located and where's your gig? If I'm close enough to help I will.

I'm not too far away.

My area must have had a force field around it. We are fine. Our power never even blinked. But thirty miles east, southeast and south got torn up pretty bad.

I got the 210 cab and gig bag out. The 210 was full of water. It was so heavy I could barely carry it. I took off the handle and poured out the water. I'm letting it dry and plan to test it tomorrow. The main thing I had in the gig bag was the transmitter to my Samson wireless. I'll also check it after drying for a day.
