I have a crappy bathroom scale that says both of mine are about 10 pounds... My dargie is a bit heavier, but it doesn't have the new lightweight tuners, which the manufacturer says shaves about 1/2 pound off... if switch between the 2, it is a noticable difference

Thanks! I ordered mine with a vintage white pearloid PG (which is back on it now...) The camo PG is actually a white one that I put a decal over. I'm thinking of getting a tort PG for it and seeing how it looks. Sky Blue really is a great color, but extremely hard to get a good picture of -...

I have used my piezo-equipped Musicman Bongo with flatwounds and a homemade bridge string-mute (big piece of dense closed-cell foam under the strings at the bridge) direct into the board, with a 15" monitor I made (no tweeter)... it works pretty well. I would love to get an upright, but don't...

evidently skipped over that one... if the input stage isn't being overdriven, then it sounds like it's tech time... hopefully for the OP it isn't something expensive

after reading through this thread, (and being a GK owner that uses several basses with 18v preamps) it does kind of sound like your Modulus is overdriving your amp's input stage... do you own/use any type of compression device?

I think you might be on the wrong forum to be telling a bunch of bassists that they play the most low-key instrument in the band... to quote a fellow bassist from another forum "without bass and drums, all you have is saturday morning at guitar center..." - adouglas profoundly true.
