    I run my reidmar with my eight ohm SWR and it sound great and has miles of headroom and the sound is without a doubt the best. Good sounding equipment verses cost is always the issue.

    Try Thomasik jazz flat wounds. They sound and feel great. Worth every penny.

    first bass ( cheap )

    A really good bass that is not expensive but very versatile is the Sire Marcus Miller. It's like buying a high dollar bass for not a lot of money. You should look at those before you buy anything.
