I totally agree. Good luck! I love the Super FORTY. --jack

Yes. I wasn't able to dial in that Exit...Stage Left tone with it though. Others seems to have good success with it, but with my gear and my hands, I wasn't getting the tone I was going for. I like it. I got the biggest one Temple Audio makes because I'm always changing my mind and didn't want...

I don't use the drive in the VT at all, just tone shaping. You can see in the pic that the drive on the VT is all the way counter clockwise. The "character" of the overdrive comes from the Super 40. For stage support, I run this pedalboard into an Ampeg V4B and Ampeg SVT-212AV cab. It took a...

For the bridge pickup, I use an EBS compressor, Tech 21 VT Bass, ME Super FORTY, and a Keely Bassist compressor. For the neck pickup, I use a Darkglass B7K Ultra with just a bit of overdrive. Then I mix and send the result to amp/IEM/FOH. There's also a noise gate after the mixer, fwiw. On my...

Absolutely! I have one on my Ric-o-Sound pedalboard and it's the key ingredient for getting *that* sound. --jack

Hard to tell from that pic, but it looks like it has a Fender style headstock  --jack

I put a Bad Ass II on my 2011 4003. I made a small wooden block to partially fill the cavity used for the stock bridge and drilled new holes. Use a Pickguardian surround, Works great,

2000 COY was "Sea Green", I believe. This is "Sea Foam Pearl." I've never seen a Sea Green in person, but they're probably pretty similar and the pearl is a bit subdued from a distance. --jack

Did anybody catch the pic of the one-off Sea Foam Pearl 4003 on Insta about a month ago? It was in the boutique, but sold pretty quick. I didn't get that one, but I know a guy...It's gorgeous! --jack

    The Rickenbacker Club Part Twelve

I just changed the strings on the guitar neck of my 4080. It has the R tailpiece and since I had never changed the strings on it, I watched a few how-to YouTube videos. One suggestion I found was to use a capo. That worked great! I put the string in the tailpiece and put some tension on it by...

I've seen a few listed on Reverb at really inflated prices, which is why I asked the FB group for the going rate. I'm going to clean it up and list it. --jack

That's me and I'm not fishing for anything except for a fair market value for the bass. IMO, $16-$18k is too steep, but if someone wants to pay it, I'm game lol. Also, the bridge pickup is original. The picture shows what the previous owner did: made a new pickguard for the bass side and used a...
