Wow...had the Lafayette amp that Cosmic Ray pictured.....I think it was their attempt at the Ampeg B-15, less flip top. They were actually made by Univox; Lafayette electronics was a Radio Shack-like store in the NY metro area that sold a lot of stereo components - had a catalog with all this...

Ampeg SVP preamp with Carvin 2000 power amp through 2-15". Also have another cab with 2x12" just in case. I know it's old school, but I've played big venues where I didn't need to go direct to the PA. Gimme those old Sunn 2x15 cabs any day !!!

To reply to deadshovelhead....can't agree more. I have always thought the bigger amps and cabs sounded much better than the newer lighter stuff. I have an Ampeg SVT preamp in a rack with a Carvin 2000S head. Is it heavy ? Yes. Plus, I have 2 - 15" cabs and a 2x12" cab. I don't use all the cabs...
