My friend and I are having an argument on how to attach the neck side of the strap on basses that use the strap button on the back (like some Gibson basses). Does the emblem side face the guitar or the body?

Yep it still has the string ferrules, just an incompatible bridge :/ Luckily its a damn good one. I suggest that Sire V7 Vintage! Excellent tone, excellent preamp, beautiful bass. I got mine for 700 used with a Sire gig bag.

I second the Sire V collection. I have a 5 String Sire V7 Vintage and it works in active and passive modes no problem. Also the prices are great for the quality of the bass. I would suggest the videos that Anderton's put out on Sire if you want to look into it.

There's one local listing for this bass that I'm trying to get, but it doesn't have the original case. If it doesn't work out, I'll definitely have to check back here. Is shipping to the Houston area doable?

Welcome to 2021, where Peavey T-40's cost anywhere between $700-$1000+! I really wish I knew more about them back when they were cheaper, but I'll probably still shell out the $750 for my local listing. I'm obsessed with this bass.
