So today at practice my Mesa 1516be cab crapped out on me. It started feeding back intensely and once I got it to stop it sounded like my 15" had cut out. I continued playing, at the same low volume, and then the entire cab went silent. I've never blown a speaker before and the head I play...

I'm not sure of the model exactly but I have an ibanez with the precision/jazz split and it sounds rock solid for the $30 I picked it up for at a GC sale.

Check Ebay or your local craigslist, I got lucky and picked up an old 1516 from GC for $350 and it still rocks as hard as it did in the 90's.

I'm in a debate with myself right now to buy either the new thunderbird pro or ESP Phoenix bass, my only hangup is that the epiphone has a tone knob where the ESP only has two volumes and and a blend. Does anyone have hands-on experiences with either one? If I got the Phoenix I plan on putting...
