Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

Well, I ordered the Filter Twin yesterday off of Amazon, should get it Wednesday. I'll play with it this week, bring it out to my gig Saturday night, and if I don't like it I'll return it and get a Wonderlove. Thanks for all the help and recommendations!

Could a Pickup or Pre-amp fix my volume spikes?

Ha! Either that or a Db, depends on how you look at it. I've decided to invest in some pickups regardless, I've been into the Bartolinis, but have also heard good things about the Seymour-Duncans. I want something with a BIG FAT bass sound, but I don't want to lose out on high end. Also, I...

Could a Pickup or Pre-amp fix my volume spikes?

Well now I know why I didn't get an A in my Physics of Sound class...

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

I do enjoy tweaking...pedals that is. I guess what I'm wondering is, can the Wonderlove or Fatman produce a deep smooth wah tone that is $100 superior to the Filter Twin? Also, zero interest in any pedal that takes anything besides 9v.

Could a Pickup or Pre-amp fix my volume spikes?

100% agree, something is hitting its resonance frequency on those notes, it's just weird that it's two notes, especially ones that are a major third apart. I'm very interested in #6 you have up there, I might look into that further. Maybe ill record a few samples today. Also, compressor came...

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

Oh hahaha I'm so disappointed now...I guess if I could list my top three right now it would be the Filter Twin first, then the Wonderlove and the Super Fatman right behind, mainly due to price. Can anyone compare the Wonderlove to the Fatman? They're both more tweakable than the Filter Twin, but...

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

I don't actually play dubstep...I play in an indie psychedelic blues-rock jam band. I just want to add a funky pedal to my chain, but want it to be smooth and subtle, as that fits my style. When I want to add something more intense, I have my Team Awesome Fuzzmachine for that. And I do have two...

Wonderlove is another one I have been interested in, where can I find this comparison?

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

That's another sound I'm trying to avoid, "bubbly, burping funkiness." I want thick and smooth. I've ruled the MXR out unless someone can prove me wrong.

Fatman looks sick too, I've seen that on other posts before. Looks highly tweakable, maybe worth that extra $100.

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

That is EXACTLY what I am trying to avoid... If a digital pedal can achieve the desired effect, I would be interested, but I do not want a "digital" sound...

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

M82 sounded a little thin to me, am I wrong? Seems every video or sample I hear of any envelope filter is someone playing slap. It's hard to tell for sure how they really sound on the low end.

Uneven Volume Levels on Specific Notes

I didn't notice until I got a new amp last spring, and no it's not the amp. I used to be so much lower in volume than my band mates, but the new amp brought me to the forefront. When volume was set, I would mix in just fine, except for those two notes which would amplify so much it would...

Uneven Volume Levels on Specific Notes

That is a good point...unfortunately, there are no decent music stores in the area, I will have to do some research and travel. Any resources for finding such a place that would have this sort of knowledge?

Looking for a big fat Envelope Filter pedal

Very unique, haven't seen any others like it. Sounds dope too, thanks for the recommendation. I might end up getting this one... On a side note, Amazon makes me want to spend my whole paycheck on pedals right now. Black Friday countdown deals are too good.
