    Current Setup:
Ibanez AEB10E Acoustic-Electric Bass (4 strings) with LaBella 750N Black Nylon Tapewound Bass Strings. Hartke B20 bass amp. I play mostly with a pick.
    Favorite Genres:
Pop, classic rock, jazz, country, gospel, bluegrass. I also play guitar, harmonica, and sing.
    Gigs and Ensembles:
ShowStoppers performing group at the Edgewater, MD Senior Center:
https://showstoppersofscsc.com A group of seniors who like to play music together. We perform at senior centers and other venues.
    Previously Owned Gear:
Fender Jazz (was too heavy for me). Tobias Toby Deluxe V (good 5-string solid body). Various amps. I like the Hartke B20 amp in a chair behind me in the rhythm section. I play a note when the drummer taps the bass drum with his foot (playing in the pocket).

P.A. system for the senior center with four hand-held wireless mics. A MIDI keyboard/synthesizer.
    Influences and Teachers:
Church choir, my musical family, Paul McCartney, Carol Kaye, band members, worship team, community college classes in music, advanced degree music students, playing along with Spotify, Pandora, and Amazon Music songs, Chordify.net, Musixmatch.com
    Hobbies and Interests:
    Electronics, swimming, jogging, writing, television.
    Teaching Credentials:
Taught middle and high school music classes as a substitute teacher.
Took piano lessons when I was six. Played harmonica, too. Sang in church choir. Started guitar when 14. Started bass when 16. Loved the Beatles. Played in groups in high school and college. Sang melody and harmony. Studied music for a year at a community college. Played in churches, sometimes with students working on advanced degrees in music. Coffee shops with open mics. Also love to dance.
