Doesn't anyone understand? I know I can just use a different tuning, but this is the tuning I want and I am only asking for help on how. Not on an easy way to do it.

Because the band plays in drop C and i want to be able to play in the full range of my bass. I don't want to be tuned standard because the low B would be useless and the band is in drop not standard. The tuning I want to use is Eb-Bb-F-C-G-C.

I got a 6 string bass about a month ago. Just a few days ago I noticed that the 6th(C) string was rusting. Do they have any strings I can get that will let my 6th string last as long as the other five always do?
