I have 4 basses & looking to add more, lol:

Thunderbird Vintage Sunburst - 4 string
Thunderbird Gothic - 4 string
BC Rich Warlock - 4 string
Washburn X-5 - 5 string

Trying to convince the little lady I need an Explorer bass, Flying V bass, vintage RD Artist & a BC Rich Beast. Oh & lately been thinking about adding some Fenders to the tribe.

As for why, I'm going with the basses are to me what shoes, jewelry & Longaberger baskets are to her!

Currently have 10 basses:
'81 G&L L-1000
'68 Magnatone Hurricane
'66 Epiphone Newport
'70s Epiphone ET-288M
'90s Hamer Cruise 2Tek
Dean Rhapsody 8-string
BaCH TH-1 (NR Tbird clone)
Bruce Johnson Scroll Bass
Custom fanfret Precision
Epiphone EB-1 (currently residing with my son)

I've got the parts for my next project, and am probably going to get rid of the Dean soon.

I currently own 28, including five Dingwall Super J's, three LEJ's, three Warwicks, two Moon jazz basses, a Musicman Stingray, a Bacchus jazz, a Nordstrand singlecut, three 1977-78 Fender jazz antiguas, and too many others than I care to count

Some might say I have a problem

1930 Juzek DB (my main bass; 90% of my gigs are DB only)
Fretted & Fretless Fender Jazz (es) <sunburst twins>
Fender Precision
Alavarez ABG
ancient T40 that got me through college

As far as the wife goes, she couldn't possibly care any less how many basses I have, as long as they come out of my gig money.

Crate TPK02 Black w/ White Pick Guard
Ibanez BTB575MFM Transparent Black
Ibanez GSR206 Black
I only started 2 1/2 years ago. So I don't have to much. But if I keep getting them once a year I'll have alot soon enough. Haha

I'm looking to get a Music Man Bongo or Stingray V next time I get the money for something new.

Right now I'm at 2:

G&L SB-2
-Honey Burst / Pearloid PG
-Rosewood Fret Board
-Alder Body

Jay Turser Mystery Hollow Body Bass
-Natural / Black PG

but, my GAS list goes on:

Music Man Sting Ray (4 String)
-Black Finish / Black 3 ply PG
-Maple Neck
-Passive Electronics / 1 Volume Pot

G&L JB
-Baby Blue / Creme PG
-Maple Neck
-Swamp Ash Body

and a good Vintage Precision
