How many basses do you own, total?

'98 Warwick Thumb NT 4
'05 Warwick SSII 5 LE
'07 Lakland US BG with P/J

I have a Birdsong being built soon.

I have never sold a bass. Can't seem to part with any of them.

If you have to actually count them to know, it's probably more than you need. (like that has anything to do with it)

I had to - it's 15. But I do actually play them all. Granted 2 or 3 of them most of the time, but they all have unique qualities. And although many of them were expensive, I do have a couple that are surprisingly good and were downright cheap.

But if you play 4-strings, and 5's and fretted and fretless, and want a vintage P-Bass and a modern, high tech 5 and everything in between - it adds up.

BTW - if you try this B.S. logic on you wife or girlfriend and they actually buy it - they are keepers, for sure !!!

at one point i owned 6....3 J's 2 P's and an acoustic/electric....but now thanks to the economy i'm down to 1 J bass and a homemade cardboard box upright that sounds surprisingly good
