i have acquired an additional 2X10 cabinet for my mesa boogie buster combo. the outputs on the amp are 2 - 4 ohm and 2- 8 ohm. the cab in the boogie is 8 ohm, but my new cab is a 4 ohm cab. what do i do to get all 4 speakers running?

haha yeah, the people at mesa agreed with paul. i don't know if a new tube will do though, because a working tube didn't fire in that particular socket either. sucks cuz i just got the amp, and i'll more than likely have to wait a month to play it again.

well the tube is fine, i placed it in another slot, what i don't get is the second spot fires it up, but not to the purple glow as the others, yet the amp still sounds amazing

thank you guys very much! this forum has been very great to me, in fact its how i got the amp! i will try all that you say. i might just buy new tubes all together.

thanks paul...the amp still sounds good, but yeah the tube doesn't seem to glow the same as the others. i think i will get new tubes for it. there is no hiss or pop tho. kick ass amp. so how did you set up you additional cab? it seems like the more we gig the bigger the venue! so i may in time...

so i got a mesa buster bass amp today...my first tube amp one of the plastic tips on one of the tubes was broken. i could get the tube in, but it doesn't glow purple like the others, it still glows orange, but not blueish purple like the others. what is the problem and do i need to replace...

yeah, randall smith (mesa creator aka god) modified fenders at first. and still used fender's main design and circuits for his amps.

have you ever noticed how some of the greatest products in bass have be based off designs by fender? i.e Ernie Ball Stingray, Mesa Boogie. It reminds me of those old BASF commericials, "We don't make a lot of the products you use, we make the products you use, better."

can't beat it...once it was in my blood, weekends that i don't gig make me feel homesick (while at home).

Great little compression pedal, but I always find myself turning the attack and sustain almost all the way off. anyone else do the same?
