DR Fat Beams. Great low mids, bottom, long lasting . THERE is a difference between Hi Beams & Fat Beams. Hi Beams are little more tame & not as growly as Fat Beams.

Rotosound Swings 66 are good strings. IMO, I find the lighter gauge (40-95, 40-100) more punchier than their standard gauge (45-105) set. Just my opinion and I play finger style 95% of the time.

Why is there so many discontinued heads when I search on markbass.it? The Marcus Miller, head says discontinued. The Stu Hamm head says discontinued and the Jeff Berlin Combo. Can anyone give me some insight? Thanks

I use DR Lo Riders on my Ken Smith. It came with tapered Ken Smith strings and an extra set when I bought the bass in 2003. You should be fine. Might have to adjust the height of the saddles

I do a hybrid of Gary Willis, Billy Sheehan & Jimmy Johnson 3 finger right hand technique. I feel I have full control using Gary Willis' technique. If you're going from 2 to 3 finger technique, it's going to take time to where it feels like second nature.

I had intonation issues with Dunlop Super Bright Stainless Steel. I realized it must of been a bad batch because when I put on a different manufacture, it was all good. That was my experience with Super Brights.
