The Praise and Worship Band Bassists Club

I run a 1998 stingray and a TC BH550 through a simple warwick 112 cab. a really simple rig but it works great for worship especially with a full PA system I'm thinking of getting a reverb, maybe a hall of fame and then just a compressor. but all that aside gear doesn't really matter that much...

    Help choosing a 112 cab

I know you bought the hartke several months ago but I'd like to defend the warwick cab. Yes it is a bit bigger (which I personally like) and it is a little bit heavier (17 kg still doesn't hurt that much) the cab has amazing tone. I was hooked on warwick cabs when I saw one of the wca series...

    Linseed oil finish.

I just want to refinish the headstock on my current project. I've been using raw (pretty sure it's raw) linseed oil on my rosewood fretboard every time I re-string and it works great. was wondering if I'd be able to use the same stuff to finish the headstock? thanks

    Vester basses??

I have never heard of vester basses until today when I picked up one from a guy in my area. it was $80 and the neck is made of like a really cool flamed maple. So far I'm digging it, some person I guess tried to sand off the name on the headstock but the neck plate still said vester, if you can...

    Possible 1975 Jazz Bass

neck looks legit but the body looks wrong. I'm pretty sure in 75 they had the 3 bolt micro tilt neck plate instead. the bodies on a typical 75 were a clear gloss with a black pickguard. I seriously reckon you shouldn't do the deal.

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

so I unplugged my 8" and just ran my 12" and when I got to 4 on the master it still had that sound so I unplugged my 12" and just ran my 8" and it seemed to handle my low E perfectly without that annoying sound, until I got to 4 on the master though. Do you think it is just that my cab is built...

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

Eminence say that it is recommended to have porting for that 12" but yet they still give specs for a sealed enclosure with that speaker, do you think I could have a sealed enclosure? yeah I am going to go with a nice 2x12 and drop the 8". maybe I'll be able to sell it on ebay or find another use...

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

yeah I just had a look at all of eminences crossovers and they are all 8 ohm. If I were to buy another 8 inch I could possibly do it but I truly think I would be better off buying another 12. The 12 reaches from 58hz to 5khz anyway which is (from what iv'e researched) plenty for bass. I don't...

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

I have the Delta-12B the 16ohm woofer. I think my current cab is as good as a guitar box but if I were to build two new cabs with appropriate specifications and wadding making the speakers separate from each other would that work well? I do really like the speakers I bought, they do sound nice...

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

I took some specs from fender's 15" cab and then I changed them a bit so I would be able to move it around easier

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

That must be where that buzzing sound it coming from. It must not be able to handle my low E very well. How can I get a cross-over? Can I order one on ebay and simply install it? I would like to say thanks anyway for all your advice

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

I didn't mention I used 12mm plywood (don't know what that is in inches) because that was what I could afford at the time. The box feels very sturdy so I hope it is the head and not the box.

Help! I don't know what's wrong with my rig!

I have tried having the master higher than the channel. When the master is at 3 and the channel at 10 it is louder than master at ten and channel at 3. as for separate compartments I did not know I had to do that, I watched a bunch of videos on youtube of guys building guitar cabs and I had a...
