Was listening to the live Violent Femmes album, Viva Wisconsin, this week. Have never been much a fan of theirs but was amazed by all the wonderful things Gordan Gano was doing with his voice, really excellent, so much character. Auto-tune would have killed that recording.

When I first started playing, I had little interaction with other bass players. I used to change my strings like I would on my acoustic guitar, every month or so. I just had no idea. I grimace thinking about the money I wasted. $20-40 was a big amount in college.

received my BX500 back from Carvin. it's a very early model. they replaced the circuitry with the upgrades they have made since I've bought it. they did not charge me and it was out of warranty. can't say enough about their customer service. put it through the paces last night, no more going...

Absolutely, I agree. What I was trying to relay is that time and again the word has proved to cause confrontation... therefore, unless you are willing to deal with those confrontations, it's best avoided. With freedom comes accepting the responsibility for the outcome of your actions.
