My buddy’s mom passed a couple weeks ago and he has been cleyout the house. He came across his old 1990’s Yamaha and asked if I wanted it. The answer, of course, was yes. I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to see a Yamaha RBX in very good shape. Needs some cleaning and new...
I don't even know if my 400RB has any bent fins or not. I've seen plenty with a bent one, no big deal. If it was broken off or cracked I'd be concerned.
Our old house had nice old pine 2x4's. Sounds like the perfect wood for an old school P or tele. Pretty sure the original telecasters were pine, so you're in good company.
Unless the Marvel is $25 I'd pass. The Ibanez TMB30 is a very well-made instrument. I have a TMB100 and it's really nice. I'm actually thinking of changing it to passive like the TMB30. The Ibanez doesn't need to be a "starter" bass, it's a good bass for anyone.
I am excited about this bass, just wish it was passive. Maybe they’ll make more Charvel bass options in the future. Looks like a decent value for the money.
Shipping times are REALLY BAD right now. It's across the board with USPS, UPS, FedEx, and LTL. I deal with this daily at work. Covid, bad weather, and poor management are all factors. I would be willing to bet it shows up at some point.
