...ahh crap...I bought one...checks too many boxes to ignore it. Hopefully it won’t be too big of a project to get the intonation sorted. I’ve got a squier classic vibe strat in burgundy mist I was pretty impressed with so fingers crossed the build quality will be the same.
I’m really trying to not want one of these. The lack of attractive (to me) colors has kept me safe so far. How can I talk myself back out of wanting one?

I’ve been GASsing for a VI for years or even decades. Jack Bruce with Cream, Roy Babbington witth the Soft Machine, Jack Nitzche “Lonely Surfer” Magnificent Seven, and (of course) Glen Campbell “Wichita Lineman”. Resisted, and have managed to avoid the “need”. Until NOW. Shell Pink, matching headstock Can’t. Resist. You WILL be Assimilated!!
I have an Ampeg Rocket Bass RB 115 on preorder from Sweetwater, soooo I was NOT planning this! But when I saw this FSR limited run, I HAD to jump on it. But how???
I called CME and asked about the Squier VI, and asked if I could put a deposit down to hold one. Karl was sooo great; he said if I put down the $200 I mentioned, he would reserve one of them, and let me finish paying interest free until Dec! I plan on having it finished and paid up by July, maybe sooner.
That means when this shows up in December- I can tell the wife it was paid for back in the beginning of summer, and I’ll have a cool Xmas gift guilt free!
Already plan on Labella flats to help with the tuning and bridge issues, and a nice tort pickguard to complete the awesomeness of the Shell Pink!!!
This should sound great through the RB 115!!!
Well! All paid off before the end of July!! YAY! Already thinking strings (LaBella flats), Fender locking trem. And the tort pickguard!

Yeah...I’m sitting here sweating like a junky needing a fix. I should probably go ahead and order the staytrem bridge...last I checked it was a two month wait for em. I might order up a mother of pearl pickguard while I’m at it...I think it’ll pop with the shell pink.
One person in the r/offset subreddit gif theirs this week, my scheduled delivery is this Wednesday. And with great timing, my sets of Kalium string arrive the day before!
Also there is a Bigsby + vibramate set on my local classifieds for $175. Anyone have any insight? Or comparison between bigsby style versus the JM/Jag style? I’ve never owned either.
