    Any recommendations for cheap and decent bass?

    Yamaha TRBX174. You can get a combo at Kraft music that has everything you'll need but an amp. Any pawn shop will have at least 1 bass amp. My first amp was a Fender Frontman 25B 75 watt, under 100$.
